With our humble beginnings as a small independent Canadian record label based out of Toronto, Nightflite has developed into an internationally recognized company and celebrates over 30 years of innovation and unparalleled expertise. In 1981, Nighflite was chosen by Playboy Magazine Enterprises to produce and distribute their first and only internationally released album, titled “Playboy Street Rock”. Having triumphed over a dozen other U.S labels for the coveted spot, Nightflite put the Canadian music industry back in the spotlight. With this international repute, Nightflite caught the attention of various local and global artists. Our label’s résumé quickly lengthened achieving career-defining victories for artists such as: Dee Murray-bass player for Elton John, Ronnie King of The Stampeders, Mel Shaw-producer, Famous People Players, among many others. Over time Nightflite transitioned from a record label to an artist development company and now offers new emerging talent as well as professionals the direction they are looking for when entering or trying to survive the demanding world of entertainment. Currently, as a proud member of CARAS, SOCAN, CIMA, and honoured supporter of MusiCounts, the company is sought after by diverse talents from around the world for industry expertise.
Nightflite provides new talent with the crucial guidance and networking facilities to minimize costs as much as possible and offer services and products that will eventually nurture and benefit without breaking our clients bank account. Our job is to evaluate, direct, and encourage our client through the complicated process of getting to where they want to go in the business.
Your first move is to make an appointment by email or phone (during office hours). You will then be sent a pre-consultation form by email. Be prepared to provide a sample of your work. We require this material to conduct a thorough analysis of the client’s individual needs.
Following your application review, selected talent will be contacted to arrange the first consultation. Consultations are conducted via one-on-on meetings in person (for local talent), Skype-like service for out-of-town and international talent, or by phone − you won’t have to take time off work or travel to participate in our meetings.
This first meeting, which will be 2.5 hours in length, will entail a detailed evaluation by one of our industry experts. You will be given honest and straight forward feedback of strengths and weaknesses as well as recommendations of how to best utilize this information.
Following this preliminary consultation, all feedback will then be organized into a FLITE PLAN by a senior consultant, and presented at the second brief 30min session. This package will include an exclusive list of highly pursued contacts, each specializing in areas relating to the unique needs of the artist.
By tapping into Nightflite’s incomparable roster and resources combined with our systems and operational process, streamlining your brand and simplifying management of long and short- term goals will be an ease!
